The app
What is GAMERLY?
An app to find people to play with, in your language: you swipe through people’s cards and join open sessions.
What does it cost?
Nothing. It’s free and has no ads.
Is it on iPhone and Android?
It’s in beta: Android has a closed test and iPhone a waiting list. We’ll let you know the day it’s out.
Why does language matter so much?
Because it’s the one filter that always applies: you only see sessions and people who speak your language.
Play and Discover
What is Discover?
Cards of people with a public profile: you pass or say hi with a message, and if they answer, the chat opens.
What is Play?
A list of open sessions in your language: you join with one tap, without anyone having to accept you.
Is my profile public?
Only if you turn it on, and it turns off with one tap. Without a public profile you can still use Play.
When do people see my in-game name?
When the session closes, and only those inside. Nobody sees it before.
Safety and age
What’s the minimum age?
16. It’s confirmed with your date of birth, which isn’t stored.
How do I report or block someone?
From their card, their profile or the chat. Someone you block disappears quietly, with no notice.
How do I delete my account?
From the app’s settings, in a few taps. Our delete-your-account page explains how to do it without the app.
Is it a dating app?
No. It’s for playing and making friends: no photos, no matches and no flirting.
