The short version.
- In the app: YOU › Settings › Delete my account.
- Without the app: email contacto@gamerly.es from your account’s email address.
- It really is deleted and it can’t be undone. There’s no grace period.
- What other people reported about you doesn’t disappear: it stays, without your name.
From the app
- Open the YOU tab.
- Go into Settings.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Read what gets deleted and confirm with DELETE MY ACCOUNT.
We don’t ask for your password again, or for a reason. The account is deleted there and then, and you’re signed out.
If you signed in with Apple, the app first asks Apple to remove GAMERLY’s access to your Apple ID. If that isn’t possible, it tells you how to do it yourself: on your iPhone, go to Settings › your name, find “Sign in with Apple” and remove GAMERLY.
Without the app
Email contacto@gamerly.es from the address your account uses and ask us to delete it. You don’t need to say why.
Writing from that address is how we know the account is yours, so we won’t ask you for anything else. If you can’t — say, because you signed in with Apple and hid your email — write from any other address with your username. We’ll reply to your account’s address (if you signed in with Apple, the relay address Apple made for you) so you can confirm from there. Nothing is deleted without that confirmation.
We reply within a month at most. The reply is the same whether or not that address has an account: “if there was an account with this email, it’s been deleted”. That way nobody can use this to find out who’s on GAMERLY.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, your avatar, your games and your sign-in.
- Your in-game contact, including the one revealed when a session closed.
- The sessions and templates you posted, and your spot in other people’s.
- The messages you sent, in chats and in groups. A line saying the account was deleted takes their place.
- Your spot in groups. If you were the one running one, it passes to whoever has been in it longest.
- Your reputation and the ratings you were given.
It’s the same list the app shows you before you confirm. What happens to each piece of data, one by one, is in the privacy policy.
What’s kept, and for how long
- The reports other people made about your account, with the text of the message of yours they reported, if any. They are anonymised, but not deleted: if deleting yourself wiped the moderation history, deleting yourself would be the way to start over after harassing someone. They’re kept for two years from each report, only to review them and so we can defend ourselves if there’s a claim.
- The reports you made stay without your name, with the text you wrote, for the same period.
- The ratings you gave and the matches you played with other people stay without your name: they are part of their history.
- If we ever withheld your profile or one of your groups, the explanation of why is kept for a year from the decision, with your email address. The Digital Services Act requires it.
- Your deletion request, if you make it without the app: 14 days from when you ask, and then it deletes itself. Your email address comes out of it as soon as we handle it.
- The email you send us to ask: we delete it from our inbox a month after handling the request.
If you’re after something else
- To stop showing up without deleting anything: in Settings, set your profile to private. You leave DISCOVER straight away.
- To come off this site’s waitlist: email contacto@gamerly.es and we’ll take you off. That’s separate from your app account.
- To leave the Android test: open the Google Play test link again and leave from there, and email us if you want us to delete your email from the tester list too.
- Anything else, on the support page.
