The short version.
- GAMERLY is only for people aged 16 and over.
- Any content or behaviour that sexualises a minor, or seeks to exploit one, is banned with no exceptions.
- Tell us from the app, with the reason “Looks under 16” or “Explicit sexual content”, or without an account at gamerly.es/report-illegal-content.
- We remove the content, close the account and tell the authorities.
- Contact: contacto@gamerly.es.
1. What’s banned
On GAMERLY, anywhere —names, lines, greetings, chats, groups and rooms— it’s banned to:
- share child sexual abuse material in any form, including drawn or generated;
- ask for, send or exchange sexual content with a minor, or ask a minor for it;
- win a minor’s trust for sexual purposes, or pressure, blackmail or threaten a minor to get images or a meeting;
- sexualise minors in any content;
- use GAMERLY to recruit, move or exploit a minor.
The app is also built to leave no room for the worst of it: chats are text only —you can’t send images— and there are no profile photos, because avatars are chosen from a collection we made.
2. Minimum age: 16
You need to be 16 or older to create an account. When you sign up we ask for your date of birth: it’s checked on our server as well, and it isn’t stored anywhere. If you think someone is under 16, report them: we’ll review it and, if they are, close their account.
If you’re a parent or guardian and think a child under 16 is using GAMERLY, email us at contacto@gamerly.es.
3. How to tell us
In the app: on the person’s profile, in the chat, in a session room or on a group’s page, tap ⋯, choose Report and the reason “Looks under 16” or “Explicit sexual content”. With either of those, one report is enough: the profile or the group stops showing straight away, until a person reviews it.
Without the app or an account: at gamerly.es/report-illegal-content, where for this you don’t need to give your name or email, or by writing to contacto@gamerly.es with “Child safety” as the subject.
4. What we do when we get it
- A person reads it, and anything involving minors goes ahead of everything else.
- We remove the content and close the account of whoever posted it or tried to. There are no warnings first.
- We keep what’s needed as evidence, only to hand it to the authorities.
- We report it to the competent authorities: in Spain, the National Police or the Civil Guard.
5. If someone is in danger, or you need help
If a child is in immediate danger, don’t wait for us to see it: call your country’s emergency number (in the European Union, 112).
If you’re under 18 and someone is pressuring you, blackmailing you or making you feel bad, you don’t have to deal with it alone. In Spain, the ANAR Foundation helps for free, at any hour, on 900 20 20 10 or 116 111, and INCIBE’s 017 helps with whatever is happening online. Outside Spain, 116 111 is the child helpline number in many European Union countries.
